About Bill Inman

A native of Los Angeles, California, Bill received his Bachelor's degree from the University of California at Davis (UCD). As a member of three top-ten ranked NCAA teams (football and baseball) at UCD, Bill discovered what it takes to win, how to learn from not winning, and how to be a team player.

After graduating Bill launched a direct sales company based in El Segundo, California. This company was a nationwide direct marketing arm, with several dozen sales representatives, of Inc. 500's #1 fastest growing company for 1996; Equinox Intl.

In 1997, Bill focused on providing value to the burgeoning technology marketplace by utilizing his background in sales, sales training, and engineering studies. He entered the information technology staffing sector with General Employment a publicly held, national staffing company. In order to capitalize and share the benefits of the new computing technologies that were rapidly revolutionizing the industry in the mid-90's Bill then founded a boutique staffing firm. Through automated processes, metrics and Internet initiatives his team created rapid and quality hires for Fortune 1000 and mid-size companies throughout Southern California.

Realizing that the future of recruiting was tied to intelligent software, efficient referral networks and streamlined processes in 2000 Bill entered the human capital software industry. He worked with electronic recruiting companies to plan and create software and strategic alliances to automate the time intensive and fragmented candidate sourcing process. Bill raised start-up capital, participated in product development, and recruited advisory boards of industry experts and former CEOs, COOs, and VPs of HR of public and private corporations, for these ventures (see empell and Hiring Link for more information).

Bill was a founding member of Ensemble Chimes Global (ECG launched in 2004 as Axium Global), a privately held company with over one billion in annual revenue through 2007. ECG is a human capital solution provider that delivered valuable workforce management and employer of record services to many of the world's best known corporations. As Vice President of Strategy and Alliances Bill has helped to create acquisitions, new business models, and alliances that helped solidify the company as a worldwide leader in the human capital marketplace.

In 2008, along with several friends, he launched the start-up company The Truth About... The mission of the company is to positively and profoundly impact individuals and families by raising their awareness about pervasive assumptions, structures and systems that effect their lives on a daily basis.

Outside of his involvement in building businesses, sales and human capital, Bill also has helped companies in the areas of strategic planning, research and development, securing capital, and marketing. He has worked with companies in the retail, sales training, fashion, entertainment, pharmaceutical, and communications industries in this capacity.

Bill lives in Manhattan Beach with his wife and daughter. He is an avid fitness and outdoor enthusiast, who enjoys time with friends and family.
